The institute Central Library is known as Sir Syed Library which serves as the perennial source of knowledge for the students as well as faculty members. Our Library is well equipped and well managed. Our library provides the reading materials in accordance with the curriculum of various disciplines to help students to grasp knowledge for examination purposes besides their general mental development.
A very rich collection of books are maintained with a total collection of over 10,000 books .The collection is growing day by day on various current and emerging technologies related to various streams. Two books are issued to a student for 15 days.
Reading Room in Library:
Our Library has a spacious reading room with all the necessary facilities along with a standby generator. The Reference books are available in the Reading Room. The purpose of reference section is to provide reading materials which may be issued in circulation section.
Library is providing Reference service, Reprographic Service and index service to the Faculty members and students.
Journals and Magazines Section:
The library is subscribing over 20 National Journals + 15 General Magazines and 10 National, Regional and Local News Papers largely. Library is also has a collection of C Ds and DVDs, on a variety of subjects
Digital Library is a relatively new concept and is functional in our institute Library. Digital Libraries are electronic libraries in which large number of geographically distributed users can access to the contents of large and diverse repositories of information. Our library has subscribed DELNET, which provides access to Union Catalogues and other Database to Member-Libraries. Full Text Electronic Online Journals can be accessed and students and staffs of our college will get latest information. The Digital Library is fully Air-Conditioned and provides separate Browsing Section for browsing the e – Journals, CDs, DVDs etc for the Faculty members and students in supporting their Project Work, Research Work and for fulfillment of academic requirements.
The library started its Automation in the year 2007 and now it is fully automated by using in-house developed Library Management System. Bar-coding work is completed and circulation of books is being carried out through the computer. OPAC system is provided to the users for easy and quick search of their required material.
